American Speech Language Hearing Association
As we all know, each child develops at his/her own pace. Some children walk early on, while others develop language skills at an early age. If you have concerns regarding your child’s development in any of the following areas: speech and language skills, cognitive skills and learning abilities, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and/or feeding and swallowing skills, you have the option to have your child evaluated through New York State regulated programs.
Regardless of age, all evaluations are provided at no cost to the family. Please browse through the respective New York State Programs section to learn more about how we can assist you with an evaluation and/or therapy program.
For children birth to three years of age, the Early Intervention program is available to you. To learn more, click here.
If your child is between the ages of two and six months to five years of age, then you may contact the Committee on Preschool Education within your home school district. To learn more, click here.
