Dear Steve:

We are so grateful that South Shore Center for Speech, Language and Swallowing Disorders, LLP (SSCSLSD) came into our lives over 10 years ago. Initially, as part of the Early Intervention Program, Kyli benefited from Speech Therapy, Feeding therapy, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and Nutritional Therapy. As Kyli aged and remained in need of services, you and your team focused primarily on feeding related services, developing oral motor skills and addressing sensory related issues, while collaborating with our team of therapists, teachers, nurses and doctors. I am most grateful for your high professional standards, medical expertise, and concern for our child’s individual.

SSCSLSD helped establish feeding capabilities in our infant who had difficulty with the suck, swallow breathe function. When it came time to consider a g-tube you caringly advised without over stepping, leaving the decision in our hands. Before advising any invasive medical tests, you always carefully considered what would be in Kyli’s best interest, and whether the results of these tests would impact or change our therapy approach. You always considered our child’s well being as if she were your own..

Over four years, you guided and trained us to enabling Kyli to independently drink water and blenderized food through a bottle. Amazing! When our daughter went through a two year onslaught of medical crisis, losing many skills she had worked so hard to gain, you stood by us ready and willing to step in when it was time to start over again. After such a set-back, many would have thrown in the towel but you’ve never given up on Kyli. You’ve empowered and trained us to be skillful in working towards developing oral motor skills, while always respecting boundaries and supporting parental decisions.

SSCSLSD has served Kyli for over 10 years. We are grateful for the excellent therapy provided; progress that we’ve witnessed; your steadfastness through difficult times; and genuine care, concern and love that you’ve shown our child and our family. Your company has served us with compassion and has set the standard for others who join our care team.

With much gratitude,

The Abbinanti Family
